Softball Recap: Sauk Rapids-Rice Comes Up Short

Sauk Rapids-Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-4 to the Century Panthers. That's two games in a row now that the Storm have lost by exactly three runs.

Alexa Welsh was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Taylor Lamoureux, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Sauk Rapids-Rice's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Century beat the Storm by a score of 6-0 on Saturday.
