North (Torrance, Calif.) linebacker Mique Juarez has decommitted from USC, one day after head coach Steve Sarkisian was fired.

The five-star linebacker, who had committed to the Trojans in January, made the announcement via Twitter.

"At this time my family & I feel that it is in my best interest to de-commit from USC & open up my recruitment process. I'd like to thank the coaching staff for everything they've done. & hope for the best for them," he wrote on Twitter.

Juarez is the latest blue-chip recruit to decommit from USC. Daelin Hayes decommitted on Sunday, though his decommitment was not completely unexpected. He had been visiting other schools and had been strongly linked to Notre Dame.

Since Juarez's announcement, 247Sports' Ryan Bartow has added a prediction of UCLA to Juarez's Crystal Ball, suggesting perhaps the crosstown Bruins might be looking to reel in the nation's No. 2 outside linebacker and local kid.
