Softball Game Preview: West Plains Wolves vs. Canyon Eagles

The West Plains Wolves will venture away from home to take on the Canyon Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. West Plains' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Canyon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

West Plains is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 19th on Tuesday. They lost 14-6 to Dumas. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Demons: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Canyon came up short against Dumas on Friday, falling 16-2.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10-1. As for West Plains, their loss dropped their record down to 19-10.

West Plains came out on top in a nail-biter against Canyon in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
