Marin Catholic dropped their record down to 10-8 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Saint Francis Lancers by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since April 26, 2024.

As for Saint Francis, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games.

For Saint Francis' part, Nick Chow tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Chow has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
