Basketball Recap: Salmon Skates Past St. John Bosco Academy with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Logos, Salmon was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the St. John Bosco Academy Patriots 69-36. The game marked the Savages' most dominant win of the season so far.

Salmon was led to victory by Broc Matthews and Wyatt Pilkerton. Matthews went 7 for 12 on his way to 19 points and six steals, while Pilkerton posted 20 points and five rebounds. Those six steals gave Matthews a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Britton Hanson, who put up nine points.

Salmon's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for St. John Bosco Academy, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salmon will face off against Ririe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John Bosco Academy, they will take on Nezperce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
