Football Recap: Bridgeland Starts Season with Win Against Dawson + How To Watch

Bridgeland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They took down the Dawson Eagles 35-20. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Kash Schwab had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 146 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, and also picked up 47 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an impressive 64 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another back making a difference was Julian Martinez, who rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bridgeland will host Tompkins at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Dawson, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Fort Bend Elkins at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
