Volleyball Recap: Mansfield Christian Takes a Loss

Mansfield Christian was the 3-0 winner over Northmor when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Flames came up short against the Golden Knights on Monday, falling 3-0. The Flames have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Mansfield Christian ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-19.

Adelle Cramer paced Mansfield Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Cramer got some help from Sophia Granter and her 18 assists. McKenzie Webb controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Northmor was led to victory by Jillian Zeger and Kallie Wright. Zeger had seven digs and two aces, while Wright had nine digs and three assists.

Mansfield Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Northmor, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Mansfield Christian will square off against Ashland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northmor, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Loudonville on the 7th.
