Basketball Recap: Village Tech Takes a Loss

Village Tech lost against Madison back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Village Tech Viper Squid were outmatched by the Madison Trojans and fell 88-11. While losing is never fun, the Viper Squid can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1592nd, while the Trojans are ranked 665th).

Village Tech's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Madison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 games, which provided a nice bump to their 28-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Village Tech will venture away from home to challenge Inspired Vision at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Village Tech is facing Inspired Vision at the right time seeing as Inspired Vision is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Madison, they will head out to take on Trinity Leadership at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Madison comes in on nine and Trinity Leadership on six.
