Wayne came tearing into Thursday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Winfield Generals 63-40. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-34 two weeks ago.

Winfield's loss came despite strong showings from Savannah Willard and Gabriella Canterbury. Willard posted 12 points, while Canterbury had ten points. That's the most points Willard has posted since back in February of 2024. Lilly Walton also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Wayne's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points over those games. As for Winfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.
