Basketball Recap: Cedar Creek Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cedar Creek played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 66-25 loss at the hands of the Sterlington Panthers. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-17.

Sterlington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cooper Nelson, who went 9-for-15 en route to 22 points along with seven assists and seven steals. The contest was Nelson's 18th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Nordan, who shot 4-for-7 from long range and almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards.

Cedar Creek now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Sterlington, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Cedar Creek will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Downsville at 6:00 p.m. on December 8. As for Sterlington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Haughton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
