Soccer Recap: Chippewa Falls Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Chippewa Falls challenged River Falls on Thursday. The Cardinals came up short against the Wildcats, falling 5-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Chippewa Falls of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Chippewa Falls and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Chippewa Falls has already played their next match, a 5-0 victory against Somerset on the 12th. As for River Falls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Onalaska on the 11th.
