Softball Recap: Ballard Memorial Comes Up Short

Ballard Memorial fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Graves County on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. The Bombers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

M Bohde spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, Ballard Memorial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was T Williams, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI. Another was A Hargrove, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Ballard Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Graves County, they now have a winning record of 18-17-1.

As of now, neither Ballard Memorial nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
