Volleyball Game Preview: Tri-West Hendricks Bruins vs. Western Boone Stars

The Tri-West Hendricks Bruins are taking a road trip to challenge the Western Boone Stars at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Tri-West Hendricks came up short against Westfield and fell 3-1. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Tri-West Hendricks came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Western Boone, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against North Montgomery on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Western Boone was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 25-15.

Tri-West Hendricks' loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Western Boone, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 9-13.

Tri-West Hendricks was able to grind out a solid victory over Western Boone when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Stars' Janie Ransom, who had 31 assists and nine digs.
