Soccer Recap: Glenvar Comes Up Short

After flying high against Giles two weeks ago, Glenvar came back down to earth. The Highlanders came up short against the Franklin County Eagles on Wednesday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Glenvar can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Franklin County are ranked fourth).

Glenvar now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Franklin County, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Glenvar wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 6-0 victory against Patrick County on the 4th. As for Franklin County, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Staunton River on the 8th.
