Devon Shunn put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Tuesday. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Shunn's strong effort led Valley Christian over Bentley and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings have some work to do to even out the 1-8 series between these two since April of 2017, but a win here would be a good start.
