The Biddeford Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Kennebunk Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Biddeford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Biddeford got the win against Marshwood by a conclusive 15-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.
Madi Roy was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double.

In other batting news, Biddeford got a massive performance out of Mariah Villandry, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI and three doubles. Those six RBI gave Villandry a new career-high. Jaylah Trottier also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Biddeford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Kennebunk ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Massabesic 8-7. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on three straight.
Like Biddeford, Kennebunk also got a great game from a two-way player: Juliann Pike. On the mound, she struck out 17 batters over nine innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Pike was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Maggie Canniff was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Talia Kellum, who went 1-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.
Biddeford's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for Kennebunk, their record now sits at 6-2.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Biddeford hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .423. However, it's not like Kennebunk struggles in that department as they've averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Biddeford came up short against Kennebunk in their previous matchup back in June of 2024, falling 6-1. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
