Volleyball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Pecatonica Vikings by a score of 2-1. The Ponies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Pecatonica now has a winning record of 2-1.

Pecatonica didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Shullsburg on the 30th. Hopefully Monticello paid attention to the Vikings' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
