Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Wallkill). They blew past the Valley Central Vikings 17-7 on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive  victory against them.
 Conner Griffin looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Connor Bleichner was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. He has become a key player for Wallkill: the team is 3-1 when he posts  at  least  three  RBI, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mason Franklin, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with four  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
 Wallkill  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley Central struck out seven times.
Wallkill now  has a winning record of 9-8. As for Valley Central, they now  have a losing record of 8-9.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wallkill will take on Kingston at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on  a  seven-game losing streak. As for Valley Central, they will square off against Washingtonville at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wizards have averaged an impressive 7.3  runs per game this season.
