Softball Recap: Lyman Hall Beats Branford for Their Third Straight Win

Lyman Hall extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 9-3 in the process. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Branford Hornets a 14-0 shutout. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

As for Branford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

For Branford's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shelby Burnham, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Lyman Hall will head out on the road to take on East Haven at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Branford, they will face off against Hamden at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
