Volleyball Recap: Belvidere North Comes Up Short

Belvidere North was the 2-0 winner over DeKalb when they last played one another back in October of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Thunder fell 2-0 to the Barbs on Saturday. The Blue Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Leading DeKalb to victory were Mia Zepeda and Aliyah Nealy. Zepeda had nine digs and one assist, while Nealy had four aces. That's the most digs Zepeda has posted over her last four contests. Molly Fell also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Belvidere North's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for DeKalb, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Belvidere North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Round Lake on the 4th. As for DeKalb, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Woodstock on the 4th.
