It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jonathan Alder can now relate to. They lost 10-3 to the Bishop Watterson Eagles on Monday. The Pioneers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jonathan Alder got a good showing from Eliza Shuping, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Shuping has allowed since back in April.

On the hitting side, Raegan Tremayne and Anna Engle did some serious damage despite the final result: Tremayne went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI, while Engle went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Jonathan Alder's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Bishop Watterson, their record now sits at 8-16.
