            The Lafayette Christian Academy Knights will take on the Pine Prairie Panthers at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Lafayette Christian Academy will be strutting in after a  win while Pine Prairie will be coming in after a  defeat.
Lafayette Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 18-run drubbing they dealt Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy on Thursday. Lafayette Christian Academy blew past Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy 23-5. Considering the Knights have won ten matchups by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile,  Pine Prairie unfortunately witnessed the end of their  14-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Iowa by a score of  2-1. The Panthers were red-hot at the plate heading into the  game (they scored no less than ten  runs in the three  contests prior), but the Yellowjackets' pitcher proved too tough.
 Kynnedi Ware spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 15 consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Lainey Campbell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-3 with one  home run. That  home run was  her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Josie Vidrine, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, Pine Prairie  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Iowa struck out 16 times.
 Pine Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 22-3. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
 Lafayette Christian Academy might still be hurting after the  9-0 defeat they got from Pine Prairie  when the teams last played  back in February of 2024.
