Softball Recap: Warren Woods-Tower Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Warren Woods-Tower's offense. They fell just short of the Marine City Mariners by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mariners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-6 back in April.

Warren Woods-Tower saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Atiana Guzman, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Warren Woods-Tower's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Marine City, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren Woods-Tower will challenge Mott at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marine City, they will head out to take on Grosse Pointe South at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
