Softball Recap: Jurupa Hills Has No Trouble Against Palm Springs

Jurupa Hills won the last time they faced Palm Springs and things went their way on Saturday too. The Jurupa Hills Spartans put the hurt on the Palm Springs Indians with a sharp 19-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Natalie Montes was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna Ibarra, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Jurupa Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .424 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Jurupa Hills now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Palm Springs, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Jurupa Hills and Palm Springs will both be playing JW North the next time they take the field. Palm Springs will host JW North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Jurupa Hills will play them later in the day, at 8:00 a.m.
