Basketball Game Preview: Dunlap Eagles vs. Morton Potters

Dunlap is 1-9 against Morton since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Dunlap Eagles will be playing at home against the Morton Potters at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Dunlap ended up a good deal behind Rock Island and lost 78-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (55), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Morton had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.4 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They blew past the Raiders, posting a 76-49 win. The Potters have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Morton's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Dunlap, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Things could have been worse for Dunlap, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-48 loss to Morton when the teams last played back in February of 2024.
