Basketball Recap: Riverview Comes Up Short

Riverview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 79-47 defeat at the hands of the Armwood Hawks. The Sharks lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 59-52 score last time.

Armwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Henry Morgan out in front who went 10 for 15 on his way to 24 points. The dominant performance gave Morgan a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Talon Mckinnie, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten assists.

Riverview's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Armwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Riverview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-42 defeat against Lennard on the 13th. As for Armwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-63 loss against Strawberry Crest on the 13th.
