The Mission Bay Buccaneers will head out to take on the Crawford Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mission Bay will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Last Friday, Mission Bay didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mira Mesa, but they still walked away with a 22-16 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Buccaneers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Marauders are ranked 510th).

Mission Bay can attribute much of their success to Trey Arnold, who threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes, and Nestor Bautista, who gained 123 total yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Bautista a new career-high in rushing yards (89).
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Mission Bay proved: they limited Mira Mesa to a paltry 1.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Nereo Kraft for the heroic effort on defense: he. Mission Bay didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.4.
Meanwhile, Crawford played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 41-6 defeat at the hands of Patrick Henry. The Colts have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Mission Bay will have to contain Collin Hunt as he made an impact in Crawford's last game. He picked up 97 receiving yards and one TD.
Even if they lost, Crawford's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jeremy Nguyen, Shamar Warren, and Damian Monroy, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Mission Bay's record now sits at 8-0. As for Crawford, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Mission Bay has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 306.2 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Crawford, though, as they've been averaging only 75.6 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
