Football Recap: Davison Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Davison was riding high fresh off their 58-0 takedown of Carman-Ainsworth last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals were dealt a 57-29 defeat at the hands of the Grand Blanc Bobcats on Friday. The Cardinals lost against the Bobcats in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 55-49 score last time.

Tyanthony Lewis and Jaxson Dosh certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Lewis gained 137 total yards and two touchdowns, while Dosh threw for 226 yards and three TDs. Dosh is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Grand Blanc got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jake Morrow out in front who threw for 368 yards and five touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 65 yards and one score on only nine carries. That's the most passing yards Morrow has posted since back in October of 2024. Caseton Sendry was in the mix as well, providing Grand Blanc with two TDs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Davison fell to 7-1. As for Grand Blanc, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Looking ahead, Davison will take on Lapeer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will be up against the Lightning's rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Grand Blanc, they will square off against Romeo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
