Recap: Ysleta Indians vs. Parkland Matadors

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hanks, the Ysleta Indians were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They skirted past Parkland 38-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Ysleta has posted yet this season.

Ysleta was led to victory by Mary Raygoza and Jesscia Jasso. Raygoza scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks, while Jasso scored 18 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Raygoza posted two or more blocks.

Ysleta's win bumped their record up to 10-17. As for Parkland, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ysleta will take on Bel Air at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bel Air focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Parkland, they will head out on the road to take on Del Valle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
