Volleyball Game Preview: Bingham Miners vs. Riverton Silverwolves

The Bingham Miners will head out to square off against the Riverton Silverwolves at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bingham is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Bingham is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Mountain Ridge, who was ranked second at the time (Bingham was ranked fifth). The Miners walked away with a 3-1 win over the Sentinels on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 17-25, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Spencer Smith, who had 15 digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, Riverton came up short against Corner Canyon on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Silverwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-11.

Bingham pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Riverton, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Bingham took their win against Riverton in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Miners since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
