Flag Football Recap: Loganville Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Seckinger

Loganville faced Seckinger in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Red Devils fell 14-7 to the Jaguars. The Red Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

It was another big night for Nalani Gainey, who rushed for 77 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 103 yards on 16 of 23 attempts for Seckinger. Gainey also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making three total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception which she returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Loganville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Seckinger, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Loganville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-0 win against Eastside on the 4th. As for Seckinger, they have also already played their next game, a 38-7 victory against Hebron Christian on the 28th.
