Castro Valley came out on top against Berkeley on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Trojans walked away with a 9-4 win over the Yellowjackets. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on three straight.

David Colon was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Arthur Sims, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Castro Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Castro Valley's record is now 14-4. As for Berkeley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Castro Valley will venture away from home to challenge Piedmont at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Berkeley, they will host Hayward at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Farmers at the right time seeing as the Farmers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
