Shawnee Mission Northwest faced Blue Valley Southwest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Timberwolves. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Timberwolves recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19.

Bo Bronson paced Shawnee Mission Northwest's offense, picking up seven kills. Bronson got some help from Lilli Weber and her 15 assists.

Shawnee Mission Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Blue Valley Southwest, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-2.

Shawnee Mission Northwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Gardner-Edgerton on the 30th. As for Blue Valley Southwest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Bishop Miege on the 30th.
