Softball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty managed to slip by Cabool the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles lost 18-6 to the Bulldogs on Saturday. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Liberty saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quincey Chowning, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Shelby Holdt was another, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cabool, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Liberty didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against Bakersfield on the 21st. As for Cabool, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-0 defeat against Thayer on the 21st.
