Baseball Recap: Mastery Warrior vs. Mercy Career & Technical
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Camden Academy Charter, Mastery was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Mercy Career & Technical.
Waine Pascual was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. Another player making a difference was Luis Reyes, who scored a run and stole three bases.
Mastery's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mastery will challenge Cristo Rey Philadelphia at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mastery is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Mercy Career & Technical, they will head out on the road to face off against Community Academy of Philadelphia at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
