Baseball Recap: Tintic Falls to Wayne in First Game of Season

Tintic kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 15-11 to the Wayne Badgers. The Miners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Badgers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Gavin Bratt made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Kelan Bigler was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Coincidentally, Tintic and Wayne will both be playing Piute the next time they take the field. The Badgers will host the Thunderbirds at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Miners will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
