After having lost a blowout in their previous game against River Valley, Marion Harding was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Elgin Comets 16-10. With that win, the Presidents brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
The team relied heavily on Kameron Biederman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Hoertz, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Marion Harding kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elgin only managed nine hits.
Marion Harding moved to 4-9 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Elgin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.
