Yelm gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the River Ridge Hawks with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tornados also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Yelm was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-11, 25-14.

Coincidentally, Yelm and River Ridge will both be playing Black Hills the next time they take the court. The Hawks will host the Wolves at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Tornados will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
