After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chase County, West Franklin was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Northern Heights Wildcats a 2-0 shutout. The two-point effort marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

West Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Northern Heights, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-15-2.

Looking ahead, West Franklin will take on Marais des Cygnes Valley on Tuesday. As for Northern Heights, they will venture away from home to square off against Herington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
