Bayfield is 8-2 against Montezuma-Cortez since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Montezuma-Cortez took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bayfield, who comes in off a win.

Bayfield's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Alamosa. The result was nothing new for Bayfield, who have now won four matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Montezuma-Cortez's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pagosa Springs on Friday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Montezuma-Cortez haven't been shut out since back in August.

Montezuma-Cortez's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-3. As for Bayfield, they moved to 5-7 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Bayfield beat Montezuma-Cortez 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
