Indiana high school football rankings: Brownsburg, Center Grove remain 1-2 in this week's MaxPreps Top 25

North Central climbs into Top 5 after 27-21 win pushes Panthers to 4-0 for first time since 1998.

The top three teams in the Indiana Top 25 high school football rankings remained the same as Brownsburg, Center Grove (Greenwood) and Cathedral (Indianapolis) all bumped their records to 4-0. North Central (Indianapolis) jumped into the Top 5, replacing New Palestine, which dropped five spots after a 35-22 loss to No. 6 Mt. Vernon (Fortville).

North Central improved to 4-0 after a 27-21 win over Lawrence North (Indianapolis). It's the best start for the Panthers since they started 5-0 in 1998. No. 2 Center Grove (4-0), whose 35-12 win Friday over Ben Davis gave coach Eric Moore his 200th victory, takes on North Central in an early battle of the unbeatens.

Also 4-0 is Mt. Vernon, which jumped 16 spots to No. 6 after the win over the Dragons.

No. 23 Evansville North (Evansville) (4-0) and No. 24 Whiteland (3-1) each jumped into this week's rankings. The Huskies remained perfect with a 42-14 win over Evansville Reitz, while the Warriors downed Franklin Community 45-12.
