Soccer Recap: San Rafael Takes a Loss

San Rafael lost against Redwood back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The San Rafael Bulldogs lost 4-1 to the Redwood Giants. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 629th, while the Giants are ranked 133rd).

San Rafael's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-2. As for Redwood, their win bumped their record up to 3-1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Rafael will head out to challenge Marin Catholic at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Redwood, they will take on Terra Linda at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Redwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.
