Mountain View was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Wellington Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mountain Lions have posted since October 10, 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Mountain View who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 26-24, 18-25, 15-11.
