Soccer Recap: Northampton Extends Winning Streak to 12

With a playoff win on the line, Northampton rose to the challenge on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs with a sharp 7-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Northampton, who have now won 12 matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Eastern Montgomery from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Thomas Dix led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

The win was the 12th in a row for Northampton, bringing their record up to 16-2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those 12 contests. As for Eastern Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-3-1.
