Baseball Recap: Whitney Find Success

Whitney saw some tournament action on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Novato Hornets.

Jordan Castellanos was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Whitney: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise.

Castellanos wasn't the only one making solid contact: Whitney kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The Wildcats are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Whitney now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Novato, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Whitney wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-7 loss against Los Gatos on the 1st. As for Novato, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-3 defeat against Liberty on the 1st.
