Plymouth Whitemarsh is 8-2 against Abington since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Colonials will challenge the Galloping Ghosts at 3:45 p.m. Plymouth Whitemarsh's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Abington's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Plymouth Whitemarsh and Quakertown meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Colonials fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-3.

Plymouth Whitemarsh saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Caucci, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Abington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Upper Dublin. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Galloping Ghosts have suffered since March 15th.

Plymouth Whitemarsh now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Abington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1.

Plymouth Whitemarsh came out on top in a nail-biter against Abington when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonials since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
