Basketball Recap: Sterling Heights Takes a Loss

Sterling Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 48-22 to the Clawson Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Stallions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 648th, while the Trojans are ranked 264th).

Sterling Heights' loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Clawson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sterling Heights has already played their next match (against Fraser), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clawson will take on Warren Woods-Tower at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clawson is on a five-game streak of home wins, Warren Woods-Tower a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
