Basketball Game Preview: Shady Spring Tigers vs. Hoover Huskies

Shady Spring is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past Sissonville with points to spare, taking the game 75-58. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Indians are ranked 70th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hoover had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took down the Tigers 63-49.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Shady Spring, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 18-4.

Everything came up roses for Shady Spring against Hoover in their previous meeting back in May of 2021, as the team secured an 87-45 win. In that contest, Shady Spring amassed a halftime lead of 50-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
