Football Game Preview: Notre Dame Titans vs. Symmes Valley Vikings

The Notre Dame Titans will head out to challenge the Symmes Valley Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Notre Dame is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 70 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Eastern on Friday. They were dealt a 42-7 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Titans have suffered since October 11, 2024.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Symmes Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past East to the tune of 47-0 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their six-point performance the contest before.

Symmes Valley's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.6 points over those games. As for Notre Dame, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 7-1.

Notre Dame didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Symmes Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 26-22 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
