HAMILTON, Ga. -
Harris County (Hamilton, Ga.) jumped out to an early lead against Northside (Columbus, Ga.) and never looked back on the way to a 48-0 victory on Saturday.
The Tigers put up 14 points in the opening frame. Harris County scored on a touchdown pass by
Justin Wright to
AJ Howard and a
Jay Ellison touchdown run.
After taking the lead on a Wright touchdown pass to Howard in the first quarter, HC led 35-0 at the half.
The Hamilton school expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. The Tigers' lone score in the quarter came on a
Keith Jenkins touchdown run.
Wright was the top performer for Harris County. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
HC came in allowing an average of 29.7 points per game this season.
With the win the Tigers extended their winning streak to three games.
Harris County (3-4) will play a AAAAA Region 1 game against Lee County next week, while Northside (2-4) will take on Bainbridge also in a AAAAA Region 1 game.
